a day off

we had the day off again, which was nice, sorta. My body is much more sore than I would prefer, but I am hoping that it is just the small muscles, and not the big ones. I really am getting sick of sitting around the hotel all day, watching german television, and trying to read. Its difficult to concentrate on anything right now because of the nerves. Only three more days of this, and then I will be relaxing in Santa Rosa! huzzah! Just when Ive begun to get the german keyboard straight in my head, with the y's and z's swapped!

We drew Poland, Australia, Estonia, Spain, and Italy into our semi tomorrow. We should win if we execute, but I worry that we will mess up somehow. I think Estonia in particular has some hidden speed, and I am trying not to be overconfident. We havent won anything yet. Once again, you can find results/covreage at worldrowing.com , our race is at 4:30pm german time, 7:30am PDT, and 10:30 EDT.

  1. you gotta think that training with USC during the school year (ha) might actually have taken off some of estonia's edge. but you're right, don't take anything for granted.

nevertheless, your boat seems to row a fast race of your own regardless of what else is going on around you, so i'm looking forward to seeing your hard work pay off in the semi.

    rest well, good luck!
