the day before the day before

Surprisingly, my nerves are pretty in control at the moment.  This morning our seven-man tweaked his back and missed the afternoon session. For some reason this doesnt make me anxious, partly because I am pretty sure he will be okay, and partly because our spare is pretty darn good.  

We practised starts today off the stakeboats which went alright, but not great.  I think it is always wise to expect to be down off the start, so that when you are even or up it is a pleasant surprise.  

My parents arrived in town and we went to the theater last night, to a play called "Dancing at Lughnasa". It was good to have a short break from the team.  

A lot of folks have been asking how they can watch the race on tv.  Its on ESPNU, which should be available at any sports bar.
