Just got back from holiday in Paris and Croatia with my Stanford friend Kate. It was nice to get away from Cambridge, away from rowing, away from sunless England, nice to be distracted. However, now that I am back in Cambridge, I am finding myself quite troubled by the race. It will take a while.

I've been enjoying your blog for months now, being that you are one of a few literate rowers around, and I love your detailed little pieces about ratlike coxvains and piddly weather conditions. You boys are the yummiest bunch of males that ever existed and so much cuter than the grumpy olympic Oxford team, so stop whining!
Life is just a ride and you got to be at the stern of one of the 2 most awesome boats one can put their callous hands on, and that is one hell of a ride!
So nobody died, and you will become 250% sexier if you stop bitching and let your hair grow back again on your sense of humor and maybe like get a life other than "the race".
