a great disaster

I think the only word to describe the U23 team weekend is shitshow (pardon my language mother). Saturday afternoon started with a bbq and volleyball at 3 pm, and ended about 3am, and in between: an impromptu techno dance party, "tails" with a sorority house, rescuing a U23 guy from jail, the foulness of a Dartmouth frat party, and a 3 hour search for car keys. Overall, a really fun night, and a very tired Silas the next day.
The next day I went with some Dmouth rowers and a couple U23 guys to some abandoned copper mines.  The site had steep, strangely orangish cliffs dropping into a bottomless blue-green pool.  Jumps from the cliffs varied from 20 ft to 70 feet, and everything in between.  I made one jump from a 30-footer, then decided it was too cold, and that I didnt have the nerves to do another jump.  This also was a spectacular excursion, although it took us about an hour to find the mines with approximately 83 U-turns.
