I am back in the states. Finally. I was hoping to post while I was over there but I didn't have Internet access oa regular basis. I'll try to post some of my thoughts from the racing later. Overall it was a good trip, given that it was my first worlds. We got 5th, which is a good result for the USA in the 4-. However, Everyone who new something about our boat would agree that our result should have been better.
Conditions were rough, we had a difficult lane, nd we didn't rise to the challenge very well. Oh well, that's racing, it's an outdoor sport. I've heard it all, but it doesn't make me feel much better. I felt better prepared mentally and physically for this race than for any other I have been in. I don't need to do things differently, I simply need to get better.
I am feeling very motivated still, I really want to win one of these things. I have a few weeks off, and i am spending significant energy thinking of ways to train better next year. More on this later.
In the meantime I have been living the dream in nz, tonga, and Alabama. All wonderful and (to me) foreign in their own way.
